Staying in a unique venue nestled on the shore of Koggala Lake with views and scenery enough to take your breath away.

This beautiful Sri Lankan venue has been intentionally picked for this experience, when we visited this space we immediately felt that this place was for us to facilitate this special and potent journey.

Immerse yourself in nature and the culture of Sri-lanka, sip fresh coconuts fallen straight from the tree, delight in daily yoga, embodiment, meditation, pranayama, healing, and journaling practices, eat nourishing foods and connect with like-minded people.

This deeply enriching retreat offers a unique opportunity to deepen your practice, reconnect to your authentic self, and rediscover your innate wisdom.

Show up as you are... let us take care of the rest

Connect back to your true self

This retreat in Sri Lanka offers a unique opportunity to embark on a transformative journey to deepen your practice and (re)connect to your true essence.

Through introspection and self-reflective practices, as well as adventure and play and of course a whole lot of fun, we peel back layers of conditioning, old habits & limiting beliefs, creating space to explore and return to our authentic selves.

During your time on the retreat, you will explore embodied movement, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and somatics as well as stronger physical practices (if you want to explore inversions, for example, headstands & arm balances). We also have some special workshops with guest teachers who will be holding us in Sound Healing, Kirtan, Myofacial release and so much more.

Wherever you are on your yoga journey, whether you have taken 1 or 100 classes, you will be supported and guided to feel empowered in your own personal & unique practice and body.

By immersing yourself in the nurturing and supportive atmosphere of a Wild Roots Retreat you will have the opportunity to re-connect to your innate wisdom, discovering that everything that you have been seeking has been within you all along.

Meet your host

Heather founded Wild Roots from her desire to be both rooted, grounded and secure, whilst simultaneously adventurous, wild, and free. She aims to create a nurturing, open, and supportive space where everyone is welcome, regardless of their experience level or stage in their journey.

Heather's classes are enriching, embodied, and playful, encouraging you to tap into your intuition and move in a way that feels authentic to you. Her classes are inspired by her embodied experience and over 700 hours of training, drawing from the ancient wisdom of yoga and instilling its deep-rooted values into both our practice and modern lives. Her practices offer powerful tools for self-expression and self-discovery, helping us peel back the layers of conditioning and limiting beliefs, and allowing us to return home to our true selves.

This practice is truly transformative if we honor ourselves by showing up with compassion, discipline, and patience. Heather and the Wild Roots community aim to create a space where individuals can discover that the wisdom they have been seeking has been within all along.

What previous guests have said…

  • 'Felt like my eyes were open for the first time.'

A life affirming experience from start to finish. Heather guided us through a week of depth and beauty and nurtured our souls. I met friends for life and shared stories, incredible food, laughs and cries together. Felt like my eyes were open for the first time. The yoga practice made me feel embodied and varied everyday - no one day was the same. I felt safe and held and more myself. It was nice having a mix of activities and free time because the setting was paradise. A true adventure led by a caring, thoughtful curious and remarkable woman. Love you Heather <3

  • This trip was incredibly fulfilling for me on the physical, mental, and spiritual level.

Spiritually, Heather is just a warm, nourishing, soul. Every interaction with her felt like a bear hug and coming back to home.

  • The Wild Roots retreat was everything I could've asked for and more.

I was in a place in my life where I needed a reset, and this retreat was exactly what I needed. The beautiful location, new friendships, and vibrant energy allowed me to step away from the stressors of life and ground myself so that I could return refreshed.

  • The vibe is so inclusive and magical.

Heather created and hosted the most perfect retreat. More than you could ever want, everything was considered and it felt so well thought out and intentional. We had the most amazing group of people, and I know that we'll all stay in touch and go on the next retreats together. If you're even considering going on one of Wild Roots' retreats, just go! I couldn't recommend it enough, everyone was so warm and welcoming, don't feel like you'll be alone if you don't know anyone, the vibe is so inclusive and magical.

  • I can’t stress enough how wonderful the week was, I’d go again in a heartbeat.

Going on the Wild Roots retreat was a beautiful experience I’m so grateful for. Heather’s classes are heavenly, I’m not a particularly experienced yogi and I felt challenged and nurtured in equal measure. I wasn’t expecting to meet so many wonderful people and make genuine friendships!

Heather created a really equal and welcoming environment. Being surrounded by nature and like-minded people with was so unbelievably refreshing.

  • Wild roots and wild roots retreats feel like home.

The minute you arrive, Heather makes you feel comfortable like you’ve known her for years and is a ray of sunshine!

  • Without Heather I may have never given yoga a shot & for that I am forever grateful.

Heather is one of a kind. Her patience and good natures spirit during a retreat led me to find my inner yogi. Never having taken a class, I was a bit anxious but I felt totally comfortable and at ease with her guidance and coaching. Whether your are a newbie like me or an expert she finds options and challenges to push you to your tolerance and strengthen your experience. Without Heather I may have never given it a shot & for that I am forever grateful.
